Camp booklet -Ruapehu

Hello Fellow Bloggers

Last week the year five and sixes went to camp at Mt Ruapehu. After when we came back we had to finish a slideshow about Mt Ruapehu, Even the slideshow is part of our inquiry. What my challenge was that some of the pages in the slideshow were really hard to do but I did get a little help from people. What I succeeded was I finished the slideshow and I can now blog it on my page for you guys. It was a bit of a challenge at camp when we were going to camp because some people have not skied or snowboard before even I couldn't get the hang of it when I just started to ski. What i did complete was to keep trying and trying, Then I started to go up a higher mountain which was a little bit steep and a little bit high even a bit rocky, but I did not mind it was called Rock Garden. And the other one was for beginners which was called Happy Valley. If you would like to see my slide show click this link down below

    Hi Jaeda,
    Thanks for sharing your learning. You did a great job on the mountain showing your skills and moving up to ski in rock garden. How did you feel when you moved out of Happy Valley and higher up the mountain?

Des Hunt Visit's Waikowhai

Hello fellow bloggers! Today Waikowhai Primary had a special visitor that came in the morning, It was a very popular Author called Des Hunt! He writes all sorts of books for children that are aged up to 9-12 years old. He came here because he wanted to tell us all about his backstory and why he became a Author/illustrator.           Also at the end of the show we got to buy some of his books at morning-tea! He even talked about chemistry and what sort of jobs he did.         Right at the end we got to ask some questions as well before morning-tea. My favourite part was when he made a explosion all the way to the bench,         But I really like the huge explosion he created because it was bigger and it looked      like it could shoot better, then it shot all the way to another student!       I think it was the most important because when there are heaps of flies you can just put heaps of         fliespray in a little container and then you can explode it and the smell would k
